Welcome
Last winter training camp was the best ever in the short history of Orienteering in Portugal. In total we had more than 200 athletes training in our permanent training camps, with most of then training in the fantastic camp established in Praia de Mira. |

Satisfaction was the main word heard. High standard accommodation near the training areas and technical challenging sand dune terrain provided the athletes good training sessions and the wish to come back next year. |
|
So for 2008 the challenge continues. |
Ori-Estarreja will host a WRE in Praia da Tocha (Cantanhede), on the 9th and 10th of February. We want then to invite you to come for one more fantastic week in Portugal, training and competing in relevant terrain to WMOC 2008. |
|
|---|---|
Our permanent training camps will be available once more. New courses will be made and in Praia de Mira we will have two new training maps that will be available after the WRE in February. |

This year training will also be possible in São Pedro do Sul, the area that received Portugal "O" Meeting 2007. The terrain there is very special, with lots of rock formations. Navigation is very challenging. |
About POM 2007 Theirry said "navigation was most of time tricky and required a high level of concentration, especially on the third day. The organizers called this stage the perfect day, and they weren’t wrong. The terrain there was more than challenging and belongs surely to my top 20". |
